Jakez has just completed a mammoth flight from Santiago via Paris to Shanghai (thank you, Air France, for upgrading him on the Shanghai leg! You chose well: anyone who works for Camac Harps is a very grateful, deserving and well-behaved upgrade candidate).
In Shanghai, we are currently exhibiting at Music China 2013. Music China is both a huge exhibition and an interesting conference - if you are in Shanghai this weekend, we would be delighted to welcome you to our exhibition booth: France E3 G15.
Jakez will be at Expomusic, São Paulo, between September 18th - 22nd, 2013. This is the first time we have held an exhibition of our harps in Latin America! Futher exhibitions are also planned in Paraguay and Lima before Christmas, so keep an eye on our calendar for more details.
As Jakez flies into the Brazilian sunshine, we're sitting in the rain listening to Cristina Braga's new album: Samba, Jazz and Love. A gorgeous mixture of jazz trio, Cristina's lovely voice, blue harp and vibraphone: order it now from Enja.
Our German partners, the Harfengalerie Camac Berlin, will be exhibiting at the Interkeltische Folkfestival in Hofheim from the 22nd - 25th August. This festival promises to be of particular interest regarding the Celtic harp in its broader historical and cultural context, with lectures on everything from Medieval church music and Scottish song, to a Celtic dance workshop. The instrumental exhibition is similarly not only confined to the harp, and there will also be a youth competition. For more information, consult the festival website, or contact David or Mike at:

And here's some more Catrin Finch news - our Dutch partners at the Otja Harp Center are hosting a specially large exhibition of our harps, plus the chance to have your Camac harp regulated, between April 5th - 7th, 2013. The weekend will be crowned with a recital by Catrin on Sunday, April 7th, at 16:00 at the Hervormde Kerk, Binnenweg 67, Bennebroek. Entrance is free, but it's a good idea to reserve your seats in advance.
To reserve tickets, and equally to book a regulation and to find out more about the exhibition, please contact Otja: 023-5849003 / email@example.com. Dutch-language details, and Catrin's programme, are up on Otja's site.
It being the New Year, we have new music available from our online boutique (incidentally, now bookmark-able under the no-brainer address harp-store.com)! We're stocking the complete catalogue from Edition Sharp. Edition Sharp is a publishing company set up by the Swiss harpist Claudia Studer, specialising in transcriptions and pedagogic material made and written by Claudia herself.
We're having one of our periodic, big special harp sales at L'Espace Camac this Saturday. It's a great chance to try a large range of our harps in one place, both new and second-hand. Why not make a weekend of it and go to our masterclass with Jana Bouskova, and concert with Vasilisa Lushchevskaya, the following day? You'll rarely have a better harp excuse for a weekend in Paris!
For more information about the harp sale, please contact our Commercial Director, Eric Piron: +33 2 40 97 79 40.
