If you can't wait for the next World Harp Congress, 2014 in Sydney, here's some good news - the Fifth Australian Harp Festival is coming very soon! It will take place between September 28th and October 1st in Adelaide, with an extensive programme of recitals, workshops, masterclasses, lectures and a competition. They've got a nice concept for the six main concerts: the series, entitled "the harp in all its moods", spans classical, jazz, pop, crossover, Celtic, ancient, modern and baroque music. Their list of lectures is also particularly intriguing, with everything from how to handle freelancing, performance anxiety and playing at sessions, to working with animals and harp zen!
