The winner of the pop harp competition...

...in Caernarfon is:

Maria-Christina Papadopoulou (Greece)

2nd Prize:  Ben Creighton-Griffiths (Wales)

3rd Prize:  Rosanna Moore (England)

4th Prize:  John Dalton (England)

This was the first European pop harp competition ever and was for any type of amplified harp, which attracted a broad range of styles and techniques.  Maria-Christina's set included a lot of material she'd written herself, bringing Greek folk influences into a contemporary style, and improvising over recorded loops.
