2nd International Competition, Slovenia

The 2nd International Competition of the Harpist Association of Slovenia will take place on the weekend of February 27th and 28th, 2010.  It is open to harpists of all nationalities and there are five age categories (d.o.b. 1982 - 1998).  The youngest category (born in or after 1998) may compete on lever as well as pedal harp.

The competition is organised by the indefatigable Dalibor Bernatovic, our Camac partner in Slovenia, who I met at the Belgrade  Eighth International Harp Festival with his students last May.  Dalibor writes:  "the purposes of this competition are to promote musical culture, to encourage the exchange of experiences among young musicians from Slovenia and abroad, and to bolster musical education for young people."
