Many of you already know the Camac team. For those of you who haven't had the delight, Harpblog´s PORTRAITS could heal that strange emptiness niggling your soul. And who better to soothe existential angst than Alexis Dartois, newly-appointed manager of L´Espace Camac in Paris. Alexis began working life in steel manufacture for cruise ships, and claims to "have built" the Queen Mary 2. He then set off on a voyage of his own to South America, where he learnt the fluent Spanish that ultimately lead him to Camac Harps, for on returning he saw an advertisement: "Music company seeks employee with English plus another foreign language."
Alexis, a rock drummer, was surprised to discover the "music company" was a forest of harps, but began work with his trademark energy and in the three years he has been with Camac has travelled all over Europe, tuning and carrying for you millions of harps. Now moved from the factory in Mouzeil´s countryside to the bright lights of Paris, he´s who you gotta call (on 00 33 1 40 40 08 40) if you need a harp - or a DJ, his other hobby. Soon, he'll be a fully-qualified Camac technician too.
